If you are encountering the Steam Application Load Error 3:0000065432 when trying to launch Raft, it is usually caused by interference from security software (specifically DeepGuard) or a conflict within Steam's cache files.
Please try the following solutions in order.
Solution 1: Check F-Secure / DeepGuard (Most Common)
This specific error code is frequently caused by the DeepGuard feature found in F-Secure antivirus software. If you use F-Secure, DeepGuard may be blocking Raft from connecting to Steam.
- Open your F-Secure (or antivirus) dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings > Computer Security.
- Find the DeepGuard feature.
- Temporarily disable DeepGuard or add Raft.exe to the exclusion/allowed list.
- Try launching the game again.
Note: If you do not use F-Secure, check your own antivirus for similar "Real-time Protection" or "Game Mode" features that might be blocking the game executable.
Solution 2: Verify Integrity of Game Files
This process checks if your game installation is corrupted and downloads any missing or broken files.
- Open your Steam Library.
- Right-click on Raft in the list and select Properties.
- Click on the Installed Files (or Local Files) tab on the left.
- Click the Verify integrity of game files button.
- Wait for the process to complete, then try launching the game.
Solution 3: Run Steam as Administrator
Sometimes Steam requires elevated permissions to launch the game correctly.
- Fully close Steam (check your taskbar system tray to make sure it is not running in the background).
- Right-click on your Steam shortcut on your desktop or Start menu.
- Select Run as administrator.
- Attempt to launch Raft.
Solution 4: Clear Steam AppCache
Corrupted cache data in the Steam folder can trigger load errors.
- Fully close Steam and ensure it is not running in the background.
- Navigate to your Steam installation folder (Default is usually: C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam).
- Find the folder named appcache.
- Delete the appcache folder. (Steam will automatically recreate a fresh one when you next log in).
- Restart your computer.
- Launch Steam and try to play Raft.
Solution 5: Delete Local Game Folder (Last Resort)
If the issue persists, deleting the local game configuration folder can force a refresh.
Note: Steam Cloud usually restores your progress, but this step involves deleting local files.
- Press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
- Paste the following path and hit Enter: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Redbeet Interactive\
- Locate the folder named Raft.
- Delete the Raft folder.
- Restart Steam and launch the game.
